So I found some time...
 I found some time to update this little blog that has poorly been neglected since March of this year. It has been a fun year looking back at Allyson and all of the changes she has gone through. In February I became a stay at home mom and that has ever more added to the excitment. Though she does still have days where she will ask "when can daddy come pick me up" when its time for her daycare friends who come to our home   on a daily basis now for care.  She is quite imaginative and can tell a good story like her daddy can. Knock Knock jokes seam to always end with "chicken bock" . She can make up a pretty good song about her Uncle Mike. He seems to be the topic of conversation upon returning from my parents from Thanksgiving where we spent this past Thursday-Saturday. Her favorite character is "Jeeeeeeesssssssssssseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee" from the movie Toy Story.  She received a Jessie doll for her birthday from her Great-Uncle Mickey (whom she loves to have the highest pitch possible conversations with).  Jessie eats dinner at the table with us and sometimes has her own plate/cup/silverware.  She goes to bed with Jessie and looks for her first thing as soon as she is awake.

 Allyson for quite sometime has known all of her Alphabet and can put them in order pretty well when it comes to puzzles. She can spell her name as well as the words mom and dad when asked to do it aloud. We seem to be doing lots of pre-reading activities so I am sure she will be an early reader. She loves to ask about letters and what sound they make. Right now we are working on sounds that each letter makes and putting the letters into order that spell her name, mom, and dad. She loves going to Grandma's craft room. This makes Melissa and I very enveyous you see grandmas craft room and stamps are off limits to us but apparently Allyson has this very special privilege to go into the craft room to make things.

  Late this summer we informed Allyson that she was going to be a big sister. She is quite excited about it all and will ask to give the baby raspberries and a kiss and a hug. The only concern she has expressed is the simple fact that mommy will be going to a hospital. To her right now hospitals are a somewhat scary place to be. In early April she made a trip to the ER to get 3 stitches. She had fallen out of her chair and a tooth caught the edge of the corner of her mouth and almost went straight through. Then on May 19 she decided she needed to not follow directions and she climbed over a baby gate using the same chair she fell out of the month prior and lost her balance climbing over the gate, and fell hitting her chin on the ceramic tile and slicing underneath her chin open quite deep and ended up with 8 stitches this particular visit. Lets hope no more ER visits for her are in her future.

Trouble = Daughter Like Father

Michael is notoriously known for telling some pretty interesting and make believe stories..Ask him about the time Robert E. Lee shot him in his leg during the Civil War...Ask him about meeting "Uncle Tom" from the book Uncle Tom's Cabin and he will tell you all about it. Well at the age of 22 months little Allyson apparently thinks she can tell you stories as well. After all her father tells her crazy stories all the time..For my anniversary present Michael gave me a 7 week old puppy whom we have named Tucker..Well I took Tucker outside today while Allyson remained in her Daddy's chair with her lunch and watching Sid the Science Kid (eating in front was a reward for picking up her toys in the living room)I took Tucker outside..Only to come back to find Allyson still in her Daddy's chair but something was different, there was white paste on her face that had nothing to do with the contents of her lunch. She apparently fished out of the trash an empty diaper rash tube and managed to get some out and smeared all over her face.

Me: Whats on your face Ally?
Allyson:Shook her head no and then said no..
Me: What is that stuff on your cheek?
Allyson: No and then she shook her head.
Me: Where is the tube of medicine for your bottom?
Allyson:"No Daddy it" while looking at me mischievously and pointed to her cheek and smiled..
She was trying to throw Michael under the bus and he wasn't even home.
Me: Did Allyson put something on her cheek?
Allyson: Daddy and pointed to her cheek.. this time giving me a full on grin with eyes squinting of happiness...She then decided she didn't want lunch and said night night for nap...got down and headed to the kitchen to put her lunch in the fridge.....

Little Soccer Girl

Allyson loves to go outside now after we did this the other night. Soccer parents I think we may be...
