Well tomarrow Ally will be 1 month old. Its hard to belive that so much time has passed by. It seams as if she is changing every day. The last couple of days she seams to look even a bit different to us compared to how she looked when she woke up in the morning. The last two nights have been wonderful for mommy. She went to bed at 11 pm and woke up 8 each morning. Talk about a wonderful christmas present. Here are some pictures. Enjoy

She's here!

Allyson was born on November 27th, 2007 at 3:57 am. She came just before I was scheduled to be checked in at the hospital. Monday afternoon as I was turning into the doctors office for my last appointment, I was sitting at the intersection of Rayburn and Burton, and was involved in a hit in run which resulted in starting contractions about 20 minutes or so afterwords. The doctor checked us out and everything looked well. (minor damage was done to the jeep, just glad that insurance is paying for it all to get fixed as its expensive as the estimate came at almost $1000.00 worth of damage according to the insurance adjuster) We left the doctors office stoped off at home and picked up our bags, said goodbye to the dogs, and headed to the hospital. The nurse's were astonished at how fast I was progressing and by 1 am I was pushing. Unfortunately Ally was stuck and after 2 hours of very hard pushing, our ob said that she felt the only way for her to arrive was by c-section, as she felt she was probably a big baby thus the lack of progress after all the pushing every 2 min. So we got preped and ready for her arrival. She came in weighing 7 lbs 7 Oz's and 19 inches long.

Still cooking

Everything seems to be going just fine apparently Allyson thinks that she needs to stay inside a bit longer to cook which is a bit frustrating. We feel like all we are doing is sitting around and waiting. Should she decided not to come on her own, we are scheduled for an induction for next Tuesday November 27.

12 Days to go until her Due Date

Yesterday we went to the doctor for our weekly check up. All looked well. He wasn't happy about the lack of movement during the day so they did have me do an NST (non-stress test) and I did just fine after they gave me the cherry kool aide. Michael thought it was kind of cool to hear the heart beat and watch it go up after she kicked me which is what they look for and want to see. I am 100% effaced and not dilated at all. So it looks like we may have another week or two until she is here. The nurse even commented about how she thinks I finally look like someone who is about to give birth. She commented on how small I have been looking until now.

38 Weeks or 15 Days Depending on how you look at it

Its week # 38 and we are trying to wait patiently for Allyson to arrive. I am not sleeping well and am up every two hours or having a horrible time trying to go to sleep. Thus according to Michael makes him not sleep well either. We thought things were starting this past Sat as during the Red Sox's game we were timing contractions that were 8 minutes apart and they quit around 3 am. How nice to see false labor pains. It all seams to be very weird to us as there are times I am starving for food and then I have days where I'm not interested in food at all much less at the thought of eating...Scary huh considering they say babies gain a 1 lb a week in the last month! Her room is ready, the hospital bags are packed, the car seat has been installed in the Jeep and for some odd reason we feel rather ready to be parents at the moment yet terrified at the same time. The dogs are even ready. Today Butters went into her room and cried and was looking around the room. I couldn't figure out for the life of me what he was upset about perhaps hes just as anxious as we are...Now to attempt to try and get some sleep

We have our car seat! So exciting.

I am excited, and it seams to becoming more real that soon Ally will be here. We went to Kalamazoo this weekend and my parents had picked up a car seat/stroller for her that they were able to get on sale from Baby USA over the weekend. Its the discontinued version on the G-galore version that's out now. I have always liked the g galore but its looks are a bit too trendy for me. The original is much more plain looking. Which is a good thing. Its more neutral so if we decided to have other kids at some point, we will be able to reuse it without any problems. So we will have a nice matching set as I found a really good deal on the pack n play as well. We had to have the pack n play and stroller ordered, however they should be here by the end of the week. I love free shipping and no sales tax :)

Last weekend Michael's mom through a shower for us. We were quite surprised with all of the generosity of the gifts that we were given. After we unloaded the car her room was packed to the max and we had to create a crazy path in order to get through it all. We just finished organizing everything and I took some pictures tonight (Sunday) sense I cant seam to sleep.

Her dresser, the drawers are filled to the max.

Her wall hangings that we have put up.

Her closet and the drawer underneath her crib.

The rocking chair and a stand which will work until we can find something not so tacky.

The outfit I think I will be bringing her home in.

Ally's Room

We have been working on Ally's bedroom. So far the room has been painted, and we have started putting the trim back up which should be done this weekend or tomarrow depending on what michael does for his vac day tomarrow. We still will need to find someone to help with the border as Im pretty sure I wont do a good job of that. I am not good at eyeballing and keeping things straight. Her crib is put together and is in her room as well. Tomarrow we will be only 103 days away from her due date! Time is flying fast.

Entry into her room.
